I decided to do the Avon Making Stride 5k on this past Sunday. I made it a day with my girls and included my sister in law in the mix. It was a great way to spend our Sunday. We left home at 630 a.m. yes on a Sunday. There were no complaints. This was our first time doing the breast cancer walk.
After a bus and two trains later we arrived at the Bandshell in Central Park. It was so amazing to see women, men, children even pets gathered in different shades of pink. It was so inspirational.
We probably walked for about an hour and a half. The walk was 4 miles. It was great meeting new people and hearing their stories. Even though breast cancer isn’t the cancer that I had.. cancer is still cancer anyway you see it..I would definitely do this walk again.
